While the Traitors declared their primarch dead upon the blasted wastes of Isstvan V, the current Iron Hands Chapter refuses to accept this, for the primarch's body was never recovered. Though left as one of the " Shattered Legions," the cold fury of the Iron Hands' bitter vengeance would afterwards be writ across the stars. The Iron Hands were undone by their own hubris and the blade of the Traitor both, and paid a heavy price in the brutal slaying of their primarch and the near-crippling of their strength. It was during the Drop Site Massacre of Isstvan V that the Iron Hands, the Raven Guard and the Salamanders Legions were ambushed by the Traitors led by the Warmaster Horus, and though the three Loyalist Legions fought with extraordinary valour, Ferrus Manus himself was lost, beheaded by Fulgrim's Slaaneshi Daemonblade which he had uncovered from the xenos world of Laeran. Ferrus Manus gathered together his most Veteran Astartes and departed for the Isstvan System. Their Primarch Ferrus Manus was enraged by the weakness of those Legions who fell to Chaos, particularly with his closest brother amongst the primarchs, Fulgrim of the Emperor's Children, and by his own inability to face the Traitors. When the Horus Heresy first erupted and plunged the newborn Imperium into a galaxy-wide civil war, the Iron Hands Legion was too far from Terra to intervene directly in the climactic battle of the conflict. Their primarch was Ferrus Manus, a bellicose and uncompromising warlord and peerless weapon-smith, from whom the X th Legion took their name and whose command was to them inviolatable law.

They were the hammer that had shattered countless foes in the Emperor's quest to liberate Mankind from the darkness of Old Night. Renowned for their pride, cold-hearted brutality and remorselessness in battle, the Iron Hands were among the most powerful and famed Space Marine Legions of the Great Crusade. The Iron Hands were born as the X th Legion of Space Marines, engineered by the Emperor to bring His light to the long-lost Human colony worlds scattered across the stars. Like the other Loyalist Astartes Legions, the Iron Hands would later be divided up after the Horus Heresy into multiple different Chapters, as required by the Codex Astartes, although one Chapter of the original Legion remained known as the Iron Hands and is described below.Īlthough unwavering in their faith in the Emperor of Mankind and His dream of Human unity as embodied in the Imperium of Man, the Iron Hands also believe that Human flesh is weak and easily corruptible, and strive to replace their organic bodies with more "pure" bionic substitutes, thus closely emulating the faith of the Adeptus Mechanicus' Cult Mechanicus. I mean, I could go on and on.The Iron Hands are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and one of the original First Founding Space Marine Legions created from the gene-seed of their martyred primarch, Ferrus Manus. “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James, maybe “Try a Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding, “Never Loved a Man (the Way I Love You)” by Aretha Franklin. What song would you have chosen had there been a Motown night? Were there any themed nights you wished you had? As a writer, it’s a song that I’m naturally drawn to and then having the ability to evoke that energy while on stage is just my favorite thing. It has energy and emotion and some of the lyrics in that song are some of my favorites ever to exist. It felt as if I was at my own show - it just I felt like I could really be my most authentic self with that song. What song have you felt most connected to that you’ve performed while on the Masked Singer?

As someone that loves to run around on stage - I put all my energy into my performance in that way - seeing that the stillness could evoke emotion and could still translate I think that was a really big lesson as a performer. I think the biggest lesson would be with songs like “Someone Like You” and “New York, New York,” I really stood at the center of the stage and and allowed my emotion come through my voice. What lessons have you learned from the process? I feel like what is so great about the show is that there’s this commitment because it’s fun for the people that work there to get to and to have that revealed as well.

Even in rehearsal, you’re fully covered I would have to wear gloves because I have hand tattoos I would have to wear full length pants when I walked in because I have leg tattoos. Everyone that works there, they are so passionate about the show. The Masked Singer has some pretty strict protocols, was there anything that surprised you about the process?
